MAJO (Mah-Ho) RIVERO (She/Her/Hers) is a proud Mexican singer, dancer, actress, and model currently based in New York City. She grew up in León Guanajuato where she began her studies in dance and singing, getting her first lead role as Annie in "Annie". When she was 12 years old, she went to study Musical Theatre abroad for a year, at the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in the U.K--- that's when she knew this what she wanted to do as a career. She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major student, and with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre- Dance Emphasis from the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) at Roosevelt University.

Right after graduating, Majo had the opportunity to move to NYC which had been her dream since she was six years old. Although, it is indeed a fast paced and crazy (for lack of a better word) city, she has managed to stay grounded and inspired by meditating, doing pilates, hanging out with friends, watching shows, taking classes, and staying connected to her family and friends back home in Mexico. Majo was a Dance Faculty member at Broadway Dance Center Children & Teens, and will play the roles of Francisca u/s Anita in the International Tour of West Side Story. She is full with gratitude to have been part of the NAMT 2021 Festival with Little Duende the musical as Adelita (streamed on Broadway on Demand), first staged reading of The Startup musical as Camilla Diaz/Jess Pesos,  Mijita in Desaparecidas by Jaime Lozano and Florencia Cuenca at Joe's Pub Public Theater, featuring award winning performers--- Daphne Rubin-Vega, Sonia De Los Santos, Aline Mayagoitia, and Florencia Cuenca. Recently seen as Yolanda and Dance Captain in the award-winning musical In The Heights directed and choreographed by Stephanie Klemons at The Madison Theatre in Rockville, NY. At the moment Majo is touring the world as Francisca u/s Anita, Rosalia, Consuelo with the International Tour of West Side Story with the original Jerome Robbins choreography.

Majo has been certified as a Mental Health First Aider which has helped her guide her own meditations and workouts. She is an adrenaline junkie so when she's not dancing reggaeton she loves to do extreme sports like surfing, sky-diving, and rock climbing. Traveling and learning about other cultures is another one of her passions. You will want her on your team for charades, but won't want to go against her in a game of Uno. Majo is really excited to continue her journey in the US with a heart full of gratitude and love. And looks forward to make a powerful impact in “the greatest city in the world”.
